Personal Care Attendants provide non-medical care to persons in their homes. This care might involve such things as:
Assisting in meal planning and or preparation.
Assisting with daily activities such as dressing and grooming.
Housekeeping
Respite care
Nighttime support and assistance
Personal Care Attendants are employed by the persons for whom they provide care. The Independent Living Center of Northeast Kansas maintains the applications of those interested in working as Personal Care Attendants, makes this information available to persons wishing to hire Personal Care Attendants, and acts as a payroll agent.
