The Independent Living Center of Northeast Kansas provides individual and group instruction in independent or daily living skills. The object of this instruction is to help individuals maintain or increase self reliance. Emphasis is on identifying personal strengths and weaknesses and designing a program to meet individual needs.
Training and instruction is offered in a variety of areas including, but not limited to:
Self-advocacy/assertiveness training Stress management Communication Social skills/relationships Home management Personal hygiene Home management Shopping Meal planning/preparation Budgeting and money management Other topics as identified by the consumer
